SUMMARY OF THE MISSION

To meet the increasing demand for mobility of the populations in Abidjan, the Greater Abidjan Urban Planning Master Plan (SDUGA) recommended the introduction of a Rapid Transit Bus (BRT), or fast bus service in French, as an affordable way to meet high mobility demand, by providing an efficient and reliable public transport system.

This mission concerns the realisation of pre-project studies should make it possible to dimension the project in detail for the BRT LATRILLE component, with a view to carrying out the work. The BPL Corporation participates alongside WSP Canada in the realisation of the mission.

Description of the services actually rendered by BPL:

  • Participation in the local coordination of the project, including participation in all meetings with the Client and his partners, and lead on the APD phase
  • Additional topographic detail work, including drone film, with high-resolution camera of the entire BRT corridor
  • Geometric design of the road (plan view and long profiles)
  • Dimensioning of the pavement structure (WSP to provide the load of sizing)
  • Public lighting studies including wiring and connection plans
  • Studies of traffic lights, including wiring and connection plans
  • Sanitation studies including drainage plans:
  • Studies of stations, depots and terminals
  • Elaboration of road plans, stations, crossroads and details
  • Development of CAD
