SUMMARY OF THE MISSION
The Government of the Republic of Ivory Coast has obtained funding for the studies required to prepare the Greater Abidjan Port-City Integration Project (PACOGA). Part of these financial resources is used for the consultancy services for the preliminary and detailed design studies of a Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) line in Abidjan. The LOGIT (Brazil) / SPEA (Italy) / BPL (Ivory Coast) Group has been selected to carry out this mission, which is a first in Ivory Coast.
In a specific way, the LOGIT / SPEA / BPL Group is responsible for carrying out:
- The APS studies allow to refine the reflections relating to the components of the BRT system, its operation, and its effect within the framework of the implementation of a sustainable transport;
- The APD studies which aim to determine the detailed quantities of all the elements of the BRT network, to establish in plans, sections and facades, the dimensions of the urban road infrastructures, of the structures (including interchanges, hoppers, a tunnel), of the drainage system and of the equipment, to define the constructive principles, the materials and the technical installations of the BRT network and to establish the final estimate of the provisional cost of the works, broken down into separate lots.
- The consultant’s analysis includes both technical and road safety aspects.
