SUMMARY OF THE MISSION
Côte d’Ivoire Energies (CI-ENERGIES) has requested the support of the French Development Agency to finance the extension and strengthening of the distribution electricity network, which is one of the components of a project that also integrates hydraulic electricity production, rural electrification and social branches. The perimeter of the extension and strengthening of the project’s electricity distribution network includes 12 regional capitals in Côte d’Ivoire, with a total population of 1.2 million inhabitants. This mission concerns the realisation of Environmental and Social Studies in addition to the technical studies carried out by TRACTEBEL Belgium. This mission concerns the Korhogo and Minignan regions
Description of the services actually rendered by your staff:
- Identification of existing sensitive elements in the project environment;
- Determination of project activities likely to have effects on the environment;
- Collection of the opinions of stakeholders in the project as well as the expectations and concerns of the populations likely to be affected;
- Realisation of community consultations and public consultations;
- Identification, analysis and evaluation of the importance of the potential impacts of the project;
- Proposal of recommendations for the mitigation of negative impacts and the enhancement of positive impacts;
- Preparation of CIES/PGES/PAR reports
